App Info Tab

This tab provides a foundational overview of each app, helping you understand their core identity and positioning.

  • Developer: Identifies the company or individual behind the app, giving you insight into their reputation and portfolio.

  • Tag Line: Reveals the app's primary value proposition in a single sentence. It's the quickest way to understand the core problem it solves.

  • Meta description: Provides a more detailed summary of the app's features and benefits, explaining how it achieves its core promise.

  • Launch Date: Shows how long the app has been on the market, helping you assess its maturity and experience.

  • Shopify Badges: Displays official seals of approval from Shopify. The "Built for Shopify” badges are a strong indicator of an app's quality, performance, and reliability.

  • Highlights: Offers a quick checklist of key features and technical capabilities, allowing you to instantly see an app's main selling points.

Ranking Tab

This tab offers a detailed side-by-side comparison of how each app is positioned across the Shopify App Store's discovery channels.

  • Category Positions: Shows the app's current rank and page location within its primary Shopify categories. This helps you evaluate visibility among merchants who discover tools by browsing specific categories.

  • Collection Positions: Tracks the app's presence in curated Shopify collections (e.g., "Built for Shopify"). High rankings here indicate strong alignment with Shopify’s quality standards and high-intent niche visibility.

  • Most Popular Positions: Displays the app's ranking when the "Popular" filter is applied in its category. This is a key indicator of the app's current market momentum, driven by recent installation velocity and positive user signals.

  • Most Popular Positions by Collections: Similar to category popularity, this shows how well the app performs in terms of traction compared to other apps within the same curated collection.

  • Top Keywords: Highlights the primary search terms where each app ranks at the top. This provides critical intelligence for understanding which specific search queries are driving traffic to each app and where the most intense ASO competition lies.

Pricing Tab

The App Pricing Model section shows how each app structures its offering, indicating whether it is entirely free (Free all), has a Free plan available, or offers a Free trial.

  • Paid plan starts from: This shows the entry-level price for each app's paid features. It's a key metric for comparing the initial investment required and identifying which app offers a more budget-friendly starting point.

  • Available plans & costs: This section details the different subscription tiers offered by each app. By comparing the names and costs of these plans, you can analyze how each app scales its pricing with its features and target different user segments, from small businesses to enterprise-level clients.

Review Tab

This tab provides a comprehensive look at user sentiment, helping you understand the real-world experience of using each app.

  • Rating: This section displays the app's average rating and the total number of reviews it has received. It's the quickest way to gauge an app's overall reputation and the size of its user feedback pool.

  • Rating Distribution: The bar chart breaks down the total reviews by star rating (5-star, 4-star, etc.). This helps you see the balance of sentiment, identifying whether the user base is generally happy, critical, or polarized.

  • Details: This section provides deeper context on user feedback:

    • Top Locations: Pinpoints the countries where most reviews are coming from, helping you understand an app's primary user markets.

    • Recent reviews: Shows a snapshot of the latest user comments. This is invaluable for getting a real-time pulse on current user satisfaction, recent issues, or praised features.

  • Growth Review (30 days): This metric indicates the number of new reviews the app has received in the last 30 days. It's a key indicator of an app's current growth momentum and user engagement.
